Samsung has launched their 3rd generation of foldable phones on August 11,2021. Samsung introduced 2 new devices on the launch time including The Galaxy fold 3 5G and Flip 3 5G. Today we are going to unveil the specifications of the Galaxy z fold 3 5G.
Specification
Design: The front of the phone is protected by Gorilla Glass victus on both display. The front of the small display is of Glass while the big screen is made of plastic. The back of the phone is covered by Gorilla Glass Victus on an aluminum frame. It weighs at around 271 gm. While unfolded , it's dimension's are 158 x 128.1 x 6.4 mm and while folded then it's dimension's are 158.2 x 67.1 x 14.4 - 16 mm.
Display: The fold 3 comes with 7.6 inch d Dynamic AMOLED 2x (1768 x 2208 pixel resolution) display. The display supports 120 Hz refresh rate , HDR10+ and has a peak brightness of 1200 nits. The display has 88.8% screen to body ratio and 374 ppi density.
On the other hand , the cover display is a 6.2 inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x (832 x 2268 pixel resolution ) display that has 120 Hz refresh rate . It has an aspect ratio of 25:9 and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for the protection of the display.
Processor: The fold 3 5G comes with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G (5 nm) processor as the chipset and Adreno 660 as the GPU. It will come with Android 11 and One UI 3.1.1 .
Storage: The base varient of the Galaxy Fold 3 is equipped with 12 GB ram and 256 GB internal storage with UFS 3.1 . The higher version comes with 12 GB ram and 512 GB internal storage. Sadly there is no slot for storage expansion.
Camera: The fold 3 has a triple 12Mp(wide f/1.8)+12 MP(ultra-wide f/2.2)+12MP(telephoto f/2.4) camera on the back. It has all the picture and video mode that you get on Samsung's other flagship phone. Moving on to the selfie camera , it has a 4 MP(f/1.8) selfie camera under the display. On the cover display, it has a 10 MP(f/2.2) camera for taking selfies. Interestingly it has also support for EIS. The 10 MP selfie camera can shoot video upto 4k@30fps with gyre-EIS.
Battery: Fold 3 5G comes with a 4400 mAh non removable battery into it. The phone supports Fast charging upto 25W, wireless charging upto 11W and reverse wireless charging upto 4.5W.
Features: Side-mounted fingerprint scanner, accelerometer , IPX8 water resistant (upto 1.5 m for 30 uresmin), gyro . proximity , compass barometer . Additional features are Bixby natural language commands and dictation , Samsung DeX , Samsung Pay , and Ultra Wideband support.
